Finally we poses a few of synbio’s current concerns and challenges to encourage them to do further researches and be the one that potentially solve the problem and wins Nobel Prize. Then we give some of the most common synbio applications to inform them that synbio isn’t something far away from our life. We start of by giving synthetic biology’s different definitions to show what is synthetic biology in multi-perspectives. We’ve also translated relatively short and simple synbio test books for domestic students who are interested in this field for further learning.įor the offline part of our education activity, we held lectures to introduce synthetic biology mainly to middle school students. Translating advanced synthetic biology articles and journals was one thing that we did for people who want to be up-to-date in synbio but at the same time have difficulties in reading English. Meanwhile, we’ve also made progresses that cater to people for in-depth learning. It not just dividing a huge concept like synthetic biology into a simple word a day, but also makes a sensational progress if one does keep on track every day. We tend to build a sense of daily learning experience through small tasks for our audience. For one, our channel has a specific section for daily synthetic biology terms and definitions. Besides, we’ve also started a WeChat channel that posts plentiful synbio related contents. For wider influence, we typically and intentionally selected the basic synthetic biology concepts and terms for our content, which fits a broader audience compared to the ones that contain in-depth knowledges. For the online part of our project, we first drew a xxxxpage long comic book that combined synthetic biology knowledges into a story, which can easily be understood and absorbed by not only the general public but also kids from even elementary schools. For the education part of our project, we simply divided our activities into online and offline.
